Loading... Please wait...The Bambu Lab P1S is a compact desktop FDM 3D printer which boasts a number of unique features that set it apart from most devices in its class.
As a part of the P1 series, the machine is based on the design of the company’s flagship X1 series and offers the same incredible print speed of 500 mm/s without sacrificing print quality.
Being an upgraded version of the previous model, it features a fully enclosed body which improves print performance for advanced filaments as well as enhanced cooling and filtration capabilities.
The latter include an auxiliary cooling fan for objects printed, a chamber regulator fan to stabilize the inner chamber temperature, and a control board fan to assist in cooling the control board.
Furthermore, the device comes with speed feedback sensor monitors ensuring optimal fan speed and a built-in activated carbon filter for a more comfortable printing process.
The P1P 3D printer can be upgraded to the P1S version with the special upgrade kit, which is more cost-effective than buying individual spare parts.

The Bambu Lab P1S 3D printer is equipped with a direct-drive extruder that ensures smooth and precise filament feeding and facilitates flexible materials handling.
Due to its sturdy design, semi-automatic belt tensioning, and cutting-edge control algorithm with the help of vibration compensation and pressure advance, the P1S reliably prints dimensionally accurate parts of outstanding quality even at top speeds.
The automatic bed leveling sensor calibrates and levels the bed properly, providing a perfect first layer for every project. Also, thanks to the flexible PEI-coated build plate, the printer guarantees better adhesion and easy removal of finished prints.
The all-metal hotend is equipped with a stainless steel 0.4 mm nozzle and can heat up to 300 °C, providing compatibility with a wide range of thermoplastics, including PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, PET, ABS, ASA, PA, PC, and flexibles. The hotend features an all-in-one design that speeds up heating and simplifies maintenance, but the nozzles are not interchangeable.
That means you will have to replace the hotend as a whole in case you need another nozzle diameter.
The manufacturer does not recommend printing abrasive materials, like fiber-reinforced composites, with a default nozzle, but you can purchase an optional hotend with a hardened steel nozzle with no limitations on filaments being used.
The Bambu Lab P1S is an open-material system that can print with proprietary and third-party filaments alike.
To reduce plastic waste, the manufacturer suggests utilizing reusable spools for their filaments.
One can reuse the previous spool, print their own spool (the file comes with the printer), or purchase one.
The build volume of 256 x 256 x 256 mm is spacious enough for a desktop 3D printer and is suitable for small to medium objects printed as a whole.
Larger models can be printed in parts and then assembled.
